What’s New
2009 was a busy year. Highlights included my having two quilts at the Long Beach Quilt Festival in July. "Go With the Flow" appeared in the Detours special exhibit, and "Fifteen Selvedges" was part of the Edges special exhibit. Both exhibits went on to the Quilt Festival in Houston.
Also, "Slide Ahead" and "All My Hexes"were part of an art quilt exhibit at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton, California, later in the year.
Another highlight was heading up the Clothing, Dolls and More special exhibit at the Flying Geese Quilt Show at Soka University in November.
2010 is a year of big events! One of the most exciting to me is having my first grandchild born in June. A baby quilt is underway, as are many accessories.
Pretty Little Mini Quilts was released by Lark Books in March. I have two quilts in it, "Flora Del Coronado" (aka "Spanish Flowers") and "Hearts on Fire."
The Noble Seasons continue with Summer. My "Summertime Cats" is part of this special exhibit, with the following busy schedule:
Road to California Jan 14-17, Ontario CA
Denver National Quilt Festival V, April 29-May 2, Denver CO
Quilting and Crafts Expo June 24 - 26, Reno NV
Quilting and Crafts Expo Sept 9 - 11, Cincinnati OH
Pacific Int'l Quilt Festival, Oct 14-17, Santa Clara CA
Soft Expressions Gallery, TBD, Anaheim, CA
My "Gaps" quilt continues to travel with the Alzheimer's Forgetting Piece by Piece exhibit. I'm excited that it will be at the Shelburne Museum in Shelburne, VT from May 15 to October 24.
I hope to have a quilt accepted into a special exhibit at Long Beach Quilt Festival in July. Stay tuned.
